Trekking with Santos and his lamas was exceptional share time with a lot of refinement throughout the day. We also were delighted by your hotel selection at Cafayate and Tilcara. The magnificent trip to Lagunas and Lipez salts with Gerardo Aleman and skillful, perfect cook Cristina Sanchez was indeed the unique adventure we had dreamed of experiencing. Gerardo was waiting on us hand and foot and the program was really fantastic day after day including hotel selection in these areas where survival seems a daily achievement (except for lamas and flamingos). The most astonishing place was Hotel in Desierto where the quality of comfort and welcome (with inca-featured chef) were hopeless pleasure. Sucre was great time of happiness after the journey deep in last century and earlier at Potosi mining. Celine was an ideal French guide, devoting full time to us with no restriction, with rich and exciting exchanges throughout, and always suggesting the most adequate place for dinner. Die Landschaft war spektakul\u00e4r, die Berge beeindruckend und die Farben au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlich. Die \u00dcbernachtungsm\u00f6glichkeiten waren nahezu perfekt, mit wundervollen kleinen Hotels und Posadas. Wie schon erw\u00e4hnt war die Posada de los Patos in Barreal unser Favorit. Dort stimmte rundherum alles. Ich glaube, kaum zu toppen. Die Hotels in Uspallata und Villla Union sehr unpers\u00f6nlich und ziemlich steril. Ich nehme viele Einrichtungsideen mit nach Hause ! Die Strasse Cuesta de Miranda war \u00fcbrigends zu unserer Zeit gesperrt. Der Polizist winkte uns morgens an der Kreuzung noch durch und 51 km weiter war die Strasse komplett gesperrt. Wir mussten umdrehen und zur\u00fcck und den ganzen Umweg \u00fcber den S\u00fcden, was einen Umweg von insgesamt fast 300 km bedeutete.
