Located within the National Park Iguazú, almost 20 km away from the city Puerto Iguazú in the north part of the province, they share its jumps with Brazil. In this neighboring country, the river is born in the State of Paraná. Alter crossing about 1200 km through a plateau, absorbing the volume of the affluent that run into its way, arrives to a point where a geologic fault forms a crack in the plain, as if a giant shovel had sunk in the Earth separating its sides. The visitor will find over 270 jumps throughout cliffs and islets, distributed in an half moon that forms this geographic accident.
Basically it can be known through two circuits: one inferior and another superior. In the inferior one you get to the base of the jumps, the force of the water transformed into dew or steam ends up wetting the passengers. Also from this circuit you can take a boat to the San Martin island.
