Visiting: San Carlos de Bariloche, Manso valley from
Argentina to the Pacific in Chile crossing the Andes, Puerto Varas,

Day
1:
Arrival at Buenos Aires airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight
stay with breakfast included
Day 2:
Transfer to the domestic airport, flight to Bariloche (not
included) in Northwestern Patagonia. Overnight at a cozy hostel
in Llao Llao. Three hour excursion around "Short Circuit" in the
beautiful lake district of Nahuel Huapí.
Day 3:
Meeting with the guide, short itinerary briefing, setting all
the equipment for the rafting. Personal afternoon (free time).
Same overnight stay as previous day.
Day 4:
Crossing
to Steffen Lake, where we begin our 7-day tour over the Andes
to Chile. Rafting along the emerald green Manso River (Grade
II-III). Lunch and dinner in the midst of an almost virgin landscape.
The next six nights are spent at the camping site.
Day 5:
After breakfast we mount our horses (or mountain bikes) and ride
along a shoreside track in the direction of Chile. Wonderful
views of mountains and waterfalls await us on the way. (2
hours trekking)
Day 6:
The excursion continues on rafting kayaks (duckys), where
we'll see carp swim around us in the crystal clear waters (about
3 hours paddling leg). After lunch we continue rafting over rapids
class III - IV for about 2 hours Shortly after the border
crossing to Chile at Leon pass, we set up camp on the river
and enjoy a Lamb Asado.
Day 7:
Inhabitants of this remote area will lend us their horses. Descent
on horseback in the midst of the luxurious and damp wilderness called
Valdivian rainforest, which shall leave a deep impression on us.
We follow the Manso river bank first to the South then turning
to the Northeast to Los Morros river. we stay for the night
at a Chilean old settler family house or we camp.
Day
8 & 9:
We continue on foot or on horse, descending toward the Cochamo
river valley which flows to the Reloncaví on the Pacific ocean.
We set up camp for the night.
Day 10:
After a hearty breakfast, we do some hiking, the last leg until
we reach the fiord on the Pacific. Transfer with bus to Puerto
Varas, dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Puerto Varas by
Llanquihue lake shore, with great view to Osorno volcano at front.
Day 11:
Trasfer to Puerto Montt with regular bus (20 minutes).
A visit to the very picturesque Angelmó Fish Market in Puerto
Montt, where we will also find a great variety of handmade rugs
and other such wares. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Puerto
Varas
Day 12:
Regular service bus to Bariloche, overnight stay at Llao-Llao
in an inn.
Day 13:
Private
transfer to Bariloche airport, flight back to Buenos Aires, transfer
to the hotel and overnight.
Day 14:
City-tour through the center of Buenos Aires, an overwhelming
metropolis, visiting several public buildings, harbor, the Tango
quarter San Telmo, and very typical cafés. In the afternoon
transfer to the international airport and departure flight.
